Why Are the Nafta Chips so much cheaper than other equivalent chips on the market?

The Nafta Chips are cheaper because we deal direct with the supplier.  There is no middle man.  Also, we don’t have the overheads that other suppliers need to cover.  We do this so that you, the customer, can get the benefits.

How does the Nafta Chip allow me to get better fuel economy?

In answering this question, it is important to remember that the Nafta chip is first and foremost a performance chip. However, it does produce more torque, lower in the rev range. Because of this, you will find that you won’t have to push the car as hard to get the power you did before. If the engine isn’t working as hard, it’s not using as much fuel. If you drive the car the way you did before the chip, you WILL get fuel gains. If you drive it like a rally car because you love the extra power, well there may not be very many gains.

Will the Nafta Chip cause my car to go into limp home mode?

No. The only reason why you car will go into limp home mode is if the chip is tuned to high. When you receive a chip, it comes with a standard setting. Most times, this is not near the maximum that your engine can handle. The chip can be adjusted to a higher level of performance. If you adjust it too far, it will cause your car to go into limp home mode. The way to fix this is to adjust the chip back down to a lower level?

Why is the Nafta Chip adjustable, why not just a standard setting for all cars?

The chip is adjustable because not every engine is the same. Even though all engines are made at the same place with the same specs, they don’t always produce the same power. The chip allows the car to perform at its peak. Also, if mods are made to an engine, for example a bigger exhaust, the chip can then be tuned higher than standard setting as the engine is now performing better, allowing the chip to perform better.

Will the Nafta Chip affect my warranty?

No. The only way it can affect your warranty is if it causes damage to your engine. Because it plugs in before the ECU, it can’t. The ECU will pick up anything that may be wrong and cause the car to go into limp home mode. THIS WILL ONLY HAPPEN IF THE CHIP IS TUNED TO HIGH. However, we do recommend that you take the chip off if the car goes into the dealer. Dealers look for any excuse not to fix things in your car, the chip will only give them an excuse.

Does the Nafta Chip need to be installed by an authorised person?

No. Most chips come with a simple plug. You unplug the wiring from the engine, you plug in the chip, you then plug the wiring into the chip. Anyone with half decent DIY skills can fit it. See our Fitting Instructions section to see how a chip fits to your car.

Is there a warranty or a guarantee with the Nafta Chip?

Yes, there are both. There is a 2 year warranty. There is also a 30 day money back guarantee. If you’re not happy with the chip, send it back for a full refund of the chip.
